With “The Birth of Impressionism” being such a big exhibition earlier this year at the de Young museum in San Francisco and now at the Frist Center in Nashville, it seemed fitting to discuss some of the most famous Impressionists. Of course to start, there is Claude Monet painter of Impression, Sunrise – the work from which the movement Impressionism got its name.
